Dear Andrea
I grew up on a horse ranch and it was not a big leap for me to begin the rodeo life. Over 20 years ago I matched myself against the bulls.
Bull riding is more than an event it is a way of life. As the years went on, there came a time when I needed to end that chapter of my life. I
did so with no regrets. I packed up my gear, and living in the city, I changed my wardrobe. I told my wife of my past love for bull riding and
showed her some of the photos, stuffed in a shoe box. I did not display the photos of my past, as it was just not my way. Tho proud of my
past accomplishments, I did not want to seem a braggart. I soon forgot about that conversation with my wife.
For my past birthday my wife handed me a package that was obviously a painting or print of some type, boxed and neatly wrapped. We
collect fine art and I was puzzled, as we had not talked about what the next piece in our collection would be. At first I was puzzled. Slowly
comprehension set in. This painting was of me on Mexican, a bull I had rode several times. My wife had sent an old photo to you and you
had turned it in to a beautiful piece of art, that I have no qualms of putting on display. Thank you so much for taking a piece of my proud
past and turning it into something so beautiful.
